Getting to Siegen with the car

Siegen is transport conveniently located. The region has its own airport, which however is not used for scheduled flights. If you want to arrive by plane, the Cologne-Bonn airport is located on the next. From Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, there are good connections to Cologne/Bonn.

The lower Castle is another attraction. It was built as a residence of the Princely House of Nassau-this city and completed in 1720. The thick Tower of the Castle, which houses a Carillon is particularly striking. Today, the castle is used by the City Government.

The town's landmark is the steeple of the Church, the so-called Crown that is visible. The top gives the name of the "city of crowned hanging parrot" victories. The Church is located in the old town to the market place and is well worth a visit.
